Lok Sabha Elections 2019: Radical Hindu Outfit Plans To Field Men Accused Of Murdering Junaid Khan, Mohammad Akhlaq
The Uttar Pradesh Navnirman Sena is planning to field 3 men accused of murdering 3 Muslims in different cases.
New Delhi: Naresh Kumar Sehrawat, accused of murdering 16-year-old Junaid Khan, is reportedly planning to contest 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Faridabad in Haryana.
Radical Hindu outfit Uttar Pradesh Navnirman Sena is fielding Sehrawat. “We plan to field the man accused of murdering Junaid. We will declare it soon,” Amit Jani, president of UP Navnirman Sena told HuffPost India.
“I spoke to Naresh when he came to court and I have spoken with his family. They are supporting us,” he said. “We haven’t announced it formally yet because his bail date is on October 4. If this gets highlighted, then who knows. What if it is a leftist judge?”
In June 2017, Junaid was stabbed to death after an argument over seats in a Mathura-bound train.
Jani claimed that the fight between Sehrawat and Khan was not a communal fight, but merely an argument over seats. “There was no communal matter. This was not a fight over beef,” he said.
However, news reports suggested that a group of men hurled communal slurs at Khan, his brother and two friends, who were returning home after Eid shopping and had boarded the Mathura-bound train in New Delhi.
Junaid’s brother said that his (Junaid’s) beard was pulled and skull cap was flung. He was called names such as “beef-eater” and “anti-national” reported HuffPo
When Junaid and his family tried to disembark at Ballabhgarh station, Sehrawat stabbed him with a knife on the moving train and threw him at the Asaoti station.
The trial court judgement, which the High Court overruled, said that the victims had been abused in the name of religion and Sehrawat had suffered injuries.
Junaid’s father is demanding an unfair investigation to be carried out the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Shambhu Lal Raigar, who hacked a Muslim man to death in December 2017, has also been chosen by the UP Navnirman Sena to contest 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Agra in UP.
Furthermore, the hindu outfit is also planning to field Hariom Sisodia from Gautam Budh Nagar in Uttar Pradesh. Sisodia is among the 17 men accused of lynching Mohammad Akhlaq in September 2015.
