46% Respondents Choose Rahul Gandhi As Next PM Against Modi: Survey
If elections held today, Modi’s fortunes will dip, Rahul’s will rise.
The India Today-Karvy Insights Mood of the Nation (MOTN) Survey released on Sunday, revealed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will not be sweeping away the upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha elections with majority votes on its own, as happened in 2014 elections.
According to MOTN survey, even though Narendra Modi remains a favourable prime ministerial candidate for 2019 elections, his vote share will significantly reduce. On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi-led congress party will witnesses significant rise in its vote share.
According to the survey, when choosing an alternative to Narendra Modi as India’s next PM, 46 per cent respondents voted in favour of Rahul Gandhi. While only 8 per cent voters chose Mamta Banerjee.
P Chidambaram and Priyanka Gandhi, both received 6 per cent votes as an alternative to Modi. Where as, Arvind Kejriwal and Akhilesh Yadav received 4 per cent votes.
