Is journalism only about reporting the facts as they happen?
We live in a time when fake news, fake history and fake institutions are mushrooming and there is a fierce contestation over history and consequently over the present of our society and its constituents. Whether they like it or not, journalists end up choosing one narrative of our society over another, one context of the facts over another, with its accompanying consequences.
Marguerite Duras said “Journalism without a moral position is impossible. Every journalist is a moralist. It’s absolutely unavoidable.”
NewsCentral24x7™ aims to be a progressive news website. Our journalism will always be grounded in verified facts. We believe that the idea of India is one which is plural and diverse. We believe that freedom of the individual must always be enlarged and never diminished. Our allegiance is to truth and to these values.
