Amit Shah Equates Modi With A Flood, Opposition Parties With Animals Which Survive Floods.
He expressed hope that the BJP will win the 2019 polls, "not by giving hollow assurances but on the basis of work done.
“When huge floods occur, everything is washed away… Only a ‘vatvriksha’ (banyan tree) survives and snakes climb onto it, mongoose climb on it, cats climb onto it, dogs climb onto it, cheetah climb onto it and lions climb onto it because of the rising waters.” – Amit Shah
“Snake and mongoose have nothing in common. Let me take names: Samajwadi Party and BSP, Trinamool Congress and Congress, Chandrababu Naidu and Congress, they have nothing in common and no ideological similarities, but are coming together,” the BJP president said.
It is unclear as to which Political Party is the Banyan Tree in Shah’s imagination. It is, however, clear that he expects that party to provide succour to all beings seeking shelter and relief from the devastation.
In more evidence of the fact that Shah is becoming increasingly reflective, he expressed hope that the BJP will win the 2019 polls, “not by giving hollow assurances but on the basis of work done by the Modi government.”
Omar Abdullah, former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir seemed to be taken aback by Shah’s remarks:
Did the BJP President liken the Hon PM to a natural disaster?
