Delhi: Anganwadi Workers Pledge to Boycott ‘Godi-Media’ Ahead of Polls (Watch)
The workers took the oath to boycott channels like Zee News, Republic TV, Aaj Tak, India TV that are “working on the directions of the ruling dispensation and the RSS”
Anganwadi workers at Bawana, Delhi took a pledge to boycott television channels openly supporting the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). While having completely given up even the pretence of an unbiased approach, a section of the media is accused of often digressing from real-time issues the country is facing.
Naming a few channels while taking the pledge, the workers said, “We, the sisters of Anganwadi, pledge to boycott news channels like Zee News, Republic TV, Aaj Tak, India TV working on the direction of the ruling dispensation and the RSS, ahead of elections.”
The Anganwadi workers took the pledge under the banner of the Revolutionary Workers Party of India (RWPI). The RWPI is visiting different districts and creating awareness about the biased media networks that are sidelining real issues of the people.
