Bank Staffer Sacked For Horrible Remark On Kathua Victim Is Son Of Kerala RSS Functionary
His father EN Nandakumar is a senior member of the Kerala Rashtriya Swyamsevak Sangh and he is also related to Kerala BJP general secretary AN Radhakrishnan.
The assistant manager of Kotak Mahindra Bank’s Kochi branch was sacked on Friday after public outrage on social media over the derogatory comments he made about the 8-year-old girl raped and killed in Jammu’s Kathua.
The apple, it turns out, doesn’t fall far from the tree. Vishnu Nandakumar, who is out of a job now, is closely linked with the RSS. His father EN Nandakumar is a senior member of the Kerala Rashtriya Swyamsevak Sangh and he is also related to Kerala BJP general secretary AN Radhakrishnan.
“It is good that she (the rape victim) was killed now. Otherwise, she would have come as a bomb against India,” Nandakumar is reported to have said. He later deactivated his Facebook page reportedly after facing a backlash for his remark.
The eight-year-old girl was abducted and raped inside as well as outside a temple in Kathua before she was murdered.
“It is extremely disheartening to see such comments being made in the aftermath of such tragedy by anyone including an ex-employee. We strongly condemn this statement,” Kotak Mahindra spokesperson Rohit Rao was quoted as saying by the Hindustan Times.
“We have terminated Nandakumar from the services on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, for poor performance,” he added.
The Lallantop.com said that Nandakumar’s father had backed his son and said that he wasn’t sacked by the bank. The RSS functionary said his son had resigned from the bank a month earlier and works in a different company.
