Healthcare Gone to the Dogs: Canines Rest On Beds, Surgical, Emergency Ward of Bihar Govt Hospital
Patients complained that the hospital administration doesn't take any step to solve the problem.
The Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government needs to focus on the healthcare sector in the state. Besides the poor infrastructure, dogs also reportedly create problems in the public hospitals.
According to a CNN-News18 report, canines were seen resting on beds at the Sadar Hospital in Nawada, Bihar.

As per locals, this is not the first instance when dogs were found lounging on beds in the surgical and emergency ward of the hospital. While the JD(U)-BJP government reportedly claim to spend crores on better facilities for patients, the administration at the Sadar Hospital weren’t even reportedly bothered enough to remove the dogs. The helpless patients and their families are forced to remain on guard due to the dog menace.
The News 18 report also added that the situation is critical as many patients are often denied bed in the hospital and when patients cite problems such as dogs entering the premises, the hospital management doesn’t bother to listen.
When asked about the incident, Dr Chandra who is in charge at the Sadar Hospital, told CNN-News18 that while such a sight is unfortunate, he would launch an enquiry into the matter.
