In yet another incident representing the faulty school education system in Bihar, hundreds of examinees protested outside the intermediate board’s office in Patna after multiple discrepancies were found in the class 12th results of the Bihar State Education Board (BSEB).
Many students claimed to have scored more than the maximum marks for a subject. While one student scored 68 out of 50 in English, another got 38 out of 35 in Physics.
According to a January 2017 IndiaSpend report, Bihar’s classrooms are India’s most crowded and have the fewest teachers. Yet the state spends the least money on education per student.
According to various media reports, a large number of students who had cleared their IIT-JEE entrance exam failed in their class 12th exams.
