Alleged BJP Workers Caught on Camera Distributing Cash after PM Modi’s Chandauli Rally (Video)
A BJP worker reportedly said “Don’t you know at Modi & Amit Shah’s rally cash is sent over from BJP headquarters? What's the big deal?”
Two videos have surfaced that show alleged BJP workers distributing money after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s election rally at Dhanapura village in Chandauli, Uttar Pradesh on May 16.
In the two videos posted by Mediavigil, a man, allegedly a BJP worker, can be seen discreetly handing over money to another man who is wearing a BJP scarf.
In the second video the same man is seen counting the cash before handing it over to another man wearing an orange shirt.
On condition of anonymity, a BJP youth worker told Mediavigil, “Don’t you know at Modi and Amit Shah’s rally cash is sent over from the BJP headquarters? What’s the big deal in this?”
The Mediavigil report noted there were rumours in the area that 50 SUV cars had previously travelled from Gujarat to Varanasi carrying packets with unknown contents. Medivigil cited sources to report that, village heads in Purvanchal have received fat sums of money from the saffron party.
BJP’s Mahendra Nath Pandey is contesting against SP’s Sanjay Chauhan and Jan Adhikary Party’s Shivkanya Kushwaha. Chandauli votes on May 19.
