‘Ulta Latka Doonga’: Modi Minister Gets EC notice for Threatening Govt Officials in Rajasthan
Gajendra Singh Shekhawat had made the threat while campaigning in Pokhran.
The election commission (EC) has reportedly issued a show-cause notice to BJP MP Gajendra Singh Shekhawat after he was captured on camera, threatening government officials, saying they would be hung upside down when the government in Rajasthan changes.
The Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare got angry when his vehicles were being filmed during his election rally in Pokhran on Sunday, The Wire .
The vehicles were being filmed as the sub-divisional magistrate had sent a notice that expenditure on the vehicles used by Shekhawat for the campaign rally would be added to his campaign cost.
Shekhawat reportedly said, “This is not the last election. I have details of all officials. The government would change after five years. I would hang all of them upside down then.”
The Congress party had lodged a complaint with the district election officer, against Shekhawat.
Times Now reported that on April 16, the Election Commission of India issued a show-cause notice to the BJP MP from Jodhpur.
