BJP Minister Says Price Rise Caused By Common People Themselves, Blames Indians For Lack Of Nationalism

Rinwa represents the Ratanagarh assembly constituency and is a minister in CM Vasundhara Raje's cabinet.

Rajasthan Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Minister Rajkumar Rinwa on Monday, blamed the common people for rising fuel prices.

Instead of accepting the Modi government’s responsibility to curb inflation, Rinwa hit out at the common man. He said, “Public doesn’t understand that if the prices are rising, they should just reduce consumption to fight inflation,” reported News18.

As If blaming the citizens for inflation was not enough, the BJP minister attacked them further by saying, “Indian public has no national character like people in other nations.”

Petrol and diesel prices continued to rise for the fifth consecutive day. While petrol reached Rs 80.12/litre, diesel price was marked at Rs 72.83/litre in Delhi on Monday. The petrol price in Jaipur is Rs 80.92/litre today.
