Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel Rubbishes Budget, Says After 2014’s Jumla Express, 2019 Sees Jumla Bullet Express

"One lakh digital villages in next five years? First talk about how many smart cities were built in the last five years?"

A “jumla bullet express”. That’s what Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has dubbed the interim union budget.

Taking to Twitter, Baghel, said, “After 2014’s jumla express, 2019 sees the jumla bullet express.”

“One lakh digital villages in next five years? First talk about how many smart cities were built in the last five years?” Baghel said, holding Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) accountable for its 2014 pre-poll promises.

Baghel also pointed out that Modi didn’t create jobs as he had promised and the unemployment rate in the country hit a forty-five-year high of 6.1 per cent in 2017-18 as suggested by the National Sample Survey Organisation (NSSO)’s periodic labour force survey.

The Chattisgarh chief minister’s taunts did not end there. “Desh ke har varg ki hawa udi hui hai aur Modi sarkar ‘Uri’ pe atki hui hai, (While all sections of society are suffering in this country, Modi government’s all attention is on Uri movie),” he tweeted.
