Modi Says No Terrorist Attacks Because of Chowkidar; Govt Data: 176% Increase in Terrorist Incidents in J&K
In the same period, there has been a 93% increase in the number of security personnel killed in such attacks in the state.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his rallies ahead of the Lok Sabha polls 2019 has been in a self-congratulatory mode on issues of national security and terrorism. In one such rally on Friday, April 6 at Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, he falsely claimed that in the past five years, terrorist attacks have ceased to take place.
Per the data released by the Modi-led BJP government on February 5, 2019, between the years 2014-2018, the incidents of deaths of security personnel in terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir has increased by 93%. 47 security personnel were killed in terrorist attacks in the state in 2014 and in 2018, this number had risen to 91.
Similarly, there has been an increase of 176% in the number of terrorist attacks in the state. While there were 222 such incidents in 2014, 2018 saw 614 terrorist incidents. Despite this drastic increase, not only does the Modi government claim to be strong in the face of terrorism, but also inappropriately hits back at opposition parties the question its response to such attacks.
The PM claimed in Amroha that terrorist attacks have not taken place in the past five years. “The sounds of bombs and gunshots is unheard. There are no innocent lives being taken away. This has happened because you have a Chowkidar sitting in Delhi. And the terrorists know that if they make one mistake, Modi will hit back at them.”

निर्दोष लोगों की जान जाना बंद हो गये।
ये इसलिए हुआ है क्योंकि
