Delhi: Congress Candidate Jai Parkash Aggarwal Alleges EVM Strong Room Opened in Absence of Party Observers

Congress candidate from Chandni Chowk in Delhi Jai Parkash Aggarwal has alleged that the election commission (EC) officials are being biased towards the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on the morning of May 23, as counting for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections commenced.
Aggarwal told reporters, “All the strong rooms were wide open… Without the presence of Congress party observers … They got two teams of observers to open the strong room. No one (election officers) is ready to listen (to our complaints). (They are) Totally biased! They are being very unfair.”

Aggarwal is contesting against the incumbent Dr. Harsh Vardhan of the BJP, AAP’s Pankaj Gupta and BSP’s Shahid Ali.
