NALSAR Vice Chancellor Dr Faizan Mustafa Denies Signing Letter ‘Hailing’ PM Modi’s Speech
Times of India reported that eminent Muslim citizens "have welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent remarks on the need to address the welfare of minorities."
On Tuesday, June 4, Times of India reported that eminent Muslim citizens have written a letter in which they “have welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent remarks on the need to address the welfare of minorities, and offered to engage with him on issues of educational backwardness, skill development and confidence building measures.”
However, Dr Faizan Mustafa, the Vice Chancellor of the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR), Hyderabad, who has been reported by TOI as being a signatory to the said letter, has denied the report.
Dr Mustafa took to Twitter on Tuesday and wrote that he has not signed the letter about the PM’s May 26 speech and that “Newspapers have wrongly mentioned my name.”
