Madhya Pradesh: BJP Delays 7th Pay Commission, Bank Employees Go On Strike, Farmer Payments Stalled
Farmers are going through terrible times.
Fifteen thousand bank employees from thirty-eight banks have gone on strike over the delay of the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government in extending the Seventh pay commission benefits to the staffers of Central Co-operative banks.
The strike has, in turn, led to payments to farmers getting stalled- payments for crop sales, as well as those related to Kisan Credit card users.
Madhya Pradesh, while being governed by a self-proclaimed Kisan Putra, has seen farmers being shot dead, lathi-charged, and finally now being deprived of their hard earned money.
Recently Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh said that the protest by farmers in various parts of the country were attempts to get media attention.
