Manmohan Singh Govt Provided More Jobs To The Youth Than Modi Govt, Report Suggests

PM Modi, who fought the elections on a promise of creating one crore jobs every year has certainly failed the people of this country.

The Narendra Modi government promised jobs to the youth before the 2014 Lok Sabha polls. Four years down the line, the employment figures reflect the sad state of affairs.

The employment figures in India are certainly flawed with 30 per cent of Indians aged between 18-29 years of age estimated to be unemployed in 2017 and looking for work, according to a report by Scroll.

As per the employment-unemployment survey report 2015-16, nearly half of India’s workforce (46.6 per cent) is self-employed out of which 41 per cent earn up to only Rs 5,000 per month. The numbers are also considerably lower as compared to the Manmohan Singh government in 2009 when around 10 lakh jobs were created.
