Shameful: Prime Minister Modi Makes Fun of Dyslexia, Dyslexic Students
Modi was slammed on social media for making the insensitive remark.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, March 2, made fun of dyslexia and dyslexic children in an attempt to take a jibe at Congress president Rahul Gandhi.
During the grand finale of Smart India Hackathon, Modi was interacting with students via video conference. When a student of University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun started to present her project by saying that it is based on the idea of dyslexic children who face learning difficulties and are creative, Modi mockingly asked if it will also help children who are 40-50 years old. “Will this also help children who are 40-50 years old?” Modi questioned and burst into laughter. The student replied in the affirmative. Then, Modi added, “The mothers of such children will be very happy in that case.” The students were seen laughing and clapping in the video as Modi made the remark.
Modi was slammed by several Twitter users for making the insensitive comment.

A Prime Minister mocking dyslexia is nothing short of insensitive and shameful. Nothing funny or ‘savage’ in it.

Hear him make fun of dyslexia & dyslexic kids, only to make a cheap remark & take a jibe at his political opponent. This is the PM of worlds largest democracy.
Such a disgrace!
Shame on the spineless students of engineering institutes, laughing at it.

This guy has taken the humour out of life by ensuring even stand up comics get abused and threatened by his IT cell on a daily basis … so much so that any and all humour is now frowned upon … including “dyslexia humour” which is seldom funny https://t.co/GnIoJulYW5

This week, I learned:
Trevor Noah is an insensitive moron.
Narendra Modi was always insensitive and shameless, but reached a new low with the dyslexia comment.
You learn everyday.
