Modi Not Willing To Share What Transpired In His Meetings With Paytm
Medianama had asked four questions to PMO.
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) refused to disclose whether it asked Paytm for any user data. An RTI application was filed by media organisation Medianama.
Medianama had asked four questions to PMO. In reply, they just wrote one line: “It [all the four questions] is not part of records held by this office.”
Here’s a copy of the RTI application:
In a Cobrapost sting video, Paytm top executive Ajay Shekhar Sharma is heard saying that “When there was a curfew in Jammu & Kashmir due to stone pelting, the Prime Minister’s Office personally called asking for data because it’s possible that some people might have been Paytm users.”
Later, Paytm released a statement underlining that data was not shared improperly.
