Gadkari’s Latest Shot: If We Haven’t Performed Well, Others Will Get a Chance

The BJP minister said that a ruling party should be analysed on the basis of its performance.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari reportedly said on Saturday, April 6 that his party will be judged in the upcoming elections based on the work they have done in the last five years.

Sohit Rakesh Mishra reporting for NDTV asked the BJP MP what kind of pre-election atmosphere does he observe in the nation today, compared to the Modi wave in 2014.

Gadkari said, “See, this time it will be a test of our governance. The ruling party should be analysed on the basis of its performance in the last five years. If people think we have not performed well, other parties will get a chance.”

He added, “I have never indulged into caste politics or nepotism. Sometimes, I joke with the people, what I did in five years was just a trailer. They are yet to see the full movie,” reported NDTV 

Per the report, Gadkari further said “I don’t think politics is for power; I think politics is for the society, nation, development and economic stability.”
