JD(U) Infighting: Party Workers Allege Nitish Kumar is Selling Tickets to Wealthy Party Members
Extremely Backward Class members demanded a ticket for their community leader, adding that they're not JD(U)'s "voting machine".
Infighting in the Janata Dal (United) came to the spotlight, as party workers and supporters protested outside the party office against the selection of nominees in the different part of the state. Party workers alleged that party supremo and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar is selling the ticket to outsiders.
Supporters of Vinod Vihari were vocal against the candidature of Janta Dal United’s Pawan Kumar from Sitamarhi parliamentary constituency.

Extremely Backward Class members have demanded a ticket for their own community’s leader, Vinod Vihari. They said that EBCs are not a “voting machine” for the JD(U), and that they deserve an equal share in ticket distribution too. The EBC is believed to be the traditional vote-base of Nitish Kumar in the state.
Speaking to Zee News Bihar, one of the agitated workers said, “Wait for the May 23. JD(U) would not win even seven seats out 17 in Bihar,” Another worker Madhusudan Mistri from Gangwara village said, “Here [JD(U)], is selling the ticket to only the wealthy candidates, not those who work on the ground for the party.”
Just a few days away from the Lok Sabha polls, this development is certainly worrying for the Janata Dal (United) and its ally Bharatiya Janata Party.
