PDP To Stake Claim To Govt Formation With NC & INC, Mufti Claims Governor Evasive
Earlier in the day, reports had come in that the three parties had reached an agreement to form a government in the state.
People’s Democratic Party chief Mehbooba Mufti, along with the Indian National Congress(INC) and the National Conference (NC), will stake claim to form the government in Jammu and Kashmir.
In a tweet, Mufti posted a letter addressed to the governor Satya Pal Malik, saying that the INC and NC “have decided to extend support to our party to form a government in the State.” The letter adds that the collective strength of the three parties stands at 56 seats.

Mufti wrote in her tweet that she has been trying to the send the letter to the governor’s office but “Strangely the fax is not received”, nor is the governor available on phone.
