PMO Handle or BJP Mouthpiece? PMO Tweet Refers to BJP workers as ‘Our Workers’
The tweet was soon called out by several users.

On Tuesday, January 1, the Prime Minister’s Office’s (PMO) official twitter handle tweeted about Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) being “denied a basic democratic right” in West Bengal. The tweet did not go down well, as people quickly why the PMO official handle was being used to speak of party politics and if PM Narendra Modi could not distinguish himself between being a BJP leader and the man leading the country.
The PMO’s tweet said, “What has happened in West Bengal. A political party (the BJP) is being denied a basic democratic right. Our workers are brutally killed in West Bengal, Kerala, Karnataka. Politics of violence has to end. All parties have to reaffirm their commitment to peaceful politics: PM.”

One user pointed out, “Since this is the official twitter handle of the PMO, who does ‘our workers’ refer to? Central Govt. employees?”
