Prakash Raj Tells Modi: You Shock Us With Your Lies, Not With Electricity
Actor busts PM’s claim of 100% rural electrification, says please stop lying.
National Award winning actor Prakash Raj has expressed “shock” at the number of lies Prime Minister Narendra Modi blatantly utters. The actor has uploaded a video of the PM claiming to have achieved 100 per cent rural electrification after Leisang village in Manipur was electrified.
Taking on the PM for “lying”, Raj on Sunday tweeted, “How much will you lie, sir. you SHOCK us with your LIES ..not with ELECTRICITY.. …. A simple question to you. Forget the number of villages .. what will you answer if citizens ask you .. ‘ do you at least remember the number of lies you have lied ‘… #just asking. [sic]”
In another tweet, he asked, “How can you blatantly lie in karnataka ..that you are the guardian of Dalits and women .., when the country is witnessing your elected lawmakers relentless acts of atrocities ..and abusive statements on them … #justasking. [sic]”
Raj is campaigning against the party in the Karnataka assembly elections.
According to The Print, Raj said that PM Modi had given hope to the country with his “talk” about creating 2 crore jobs, and eradicating black money. “(But after) three and a half years, nothing has been done. They (BJP leaders) are talking about the past… ‘What did Nehru do? What did Tipu Sultan do? What did our Sanatan Dharma say?’ I cannot recognise my great grandfather two generations back, what do I do with Tipu Sultan?” the actor tweeted.
