Priyanka Gandhi To The Rescue: Helps Airlift Terminally-Ill Patient To AIIMS Delhi
When doctors said the chances of the two-and-a-half-year-old girl's survival were low, Rajeev Shukla reached out to Priyanka Gandhi.
A terminally ill two-and-a-half-year-old girl was airlifted to AIIMS in Delhi from Prayagraj for treatment on Friday after Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi helped the low-income family.
The girl, suffering from a tumour, was admitted at the Kamla Nehru Hospital in a severe condition, India Today reported. After the doctors suggested that her chances to survive were grim, Congress leader Rajeev Shukla reached out to Gandhi. She quickly acted upon the request and helped to send the girl and her family members to Delhi for better treatment.
As per reports, Gandhi even directed Shukla, Hardik Patel and Azharuddin who were travelling in the same aircraft to take the child immediately to AIIMS.
Earlier, a video had surfaced on social media which showed how Gandhi stopped kids from abusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi. While BJP leaders, including Smriti Irani, shared a short clip of the video to spread misinformation, Twitter users had showered praises on the Congress leader.
