Day After Major Terrorist Attack, PM Modi’s Photo Op At Vande Bharat Express Inauguration
Several social media users said the event could have been postponed or the Prime Minister could have skipped it in light of the Pulwama tragedy.
A day after the tragic terrorist attack on a CRPF convoy in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was quick to grab the photo opportunity inaugurating the Vande Bharat Express on Friday, February 15.

The Prime Minister and the BJP had cancelled all political programmes scheduled for Friday, after facing widespread criticism for holding such events in the wake of the national tragedy. However, this did not discourage the PM from indulging in the PR opportunity of inaugurating the Vande Bharat express.
PM Modi was further criticised on social media.

Aam Aadmi Party MLA Alka Lamba said the inauguration could have been postponed or could have been held without the PM.

At least 37 CRPF personnel were killed and five injured on Thursday in one of the deadliest terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir when a Jaish-e-Mohammad suicide bomber rammed a vehicle carrying over 100 kg of explosives into their bus in Pulwama district.
