Rafale Scam: Rahul Gandhi’s Mic Switched-off For Referring to ‘Parrikar Tapes’ in Lok Sabha
He was also barred by the speaker, Sumitra Mahajan, from naming Anil Ambani in the house.
On Wednesday, January 2, Rahul Gandhi brought Rafale Scam up for discussion issue in the Lok Sabha. He mentioned the audio tape on which Goa state Health Minister Vishwajit Rane purportedly says that the files of the Rafale deal are in chief minister and the then union defence Manohar Parrikar’s bedroom.
However, speaker Sumitra Mahajan did not allow Gandhi to play the tapes in the house.
News18 reported that at 2.37 pm, when Gandhi referred to the tapes again, his mic was switched-off. This was followed by protests from Congress MPs in the house.
Gandhi also accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of not having the ‘guts’ to face questions on Rafale deal.
