Watch: Sambit Patra Flees When Probed About BJP MLA’s Land Grabbing
Patra left the press conference mid-way when a reporter asked him about the land grabbing accusations against a BJP MLA in Madhya Pradesh.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national spokesperson Sambit Patra has been caught on video running away from journalists’ difficult questions yet again. In a press conference held in Bhopal’s MP Nagar, Patra was asked by a reporter about land-grabbing accusations against a BJP MLA, Hajari Lal Dangi.
The press conference, that Patra had called to ‘expose’ alleged corruption by members of the Opposition, ended abruptly when he could not face the reporter’s question about corruption by his own party’s lawmaker. Visibly baffled, Patra got up and walked away.
Several journalists present at the press conference questioned why Patra was running away. “Bhaag kyu rahe hain Sambit Ji…..Bhaag kyu rahe ho bhai? (Why are you running away Sambit ji…Why are you running away?),” the reporters can be heard asking in the video.
pic.twitter.com/3AIVVouvjU

The reporters were referring to 62-year-old BJP MLA from Khilchipur in Rajgarh, Madhya Pradesh.
This is the second time this month that Patra has sprinted away when journalists have posed difficult questions. Earlier this month, Patra was thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi for women’s empowerment but was cut short by a reporter who asked him about the sexual harassment allegations against MJ Akbar, who was a cabinet minister at the time. Caught off-guard, Patra had promptly escaped in his car.
