Taking People Into Confidence Will Help Eliminate Naxalism, Alcoholism: Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel
Baghel added that his government was working to bring about change, not exact revenge.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, on January 10, said the dual problems of Naxalism and alcoholism in the state could only be solved by taking people into confidence.
According to a Navbharat Times report, speaking in the Chhattisgarh state assembly in Raipur on Thursday, Baghel said that in order to end Naxalism, the Congress government would not only be speaking with people in affected villages, but also with intellectuals and journalists. Baghel then added that alcoholism was a social evil, for whose eradication, the society also needed to step up.
“The (Chhattisgarh) government is working to enrich the lives of people from all sections of the society,” said Baghel, adding that his government was working to bring about a change in the state and not on the principle of exacting revenge.
