Uttar Pradesh: 11-12 Year Old Boys Allegedly Named in Bulandshahr Polices’s FIR for Cow Slaughter
A Bulandshahr resident Yasin Khan has alleged that the police has booked his son and nephew for cow slaughter.
In a video that has gone viral on social media, a Bulandshahr resident named Yasin Khan tells a reporter that two minor boys, Khan’s son and nephew, both between 11 to 12 years of age, have been named in a First Information Report (FIR) for cow slaughter. Residents of Naya Bans village, the minors are reportedly amongst several booked by the Bulandshahr police in the cow slaughter case.

Khan tells the reporter, “We are worried because our children have been named for cow-slaughter.” He describes that the police reached their house in the morning and inquired about persons named Sajid and Anas and Khan told them that his minor son was named Sajid and his nephew was named Anas. Khan also alleges that the police then took all of them to the police station, where they had to wait for four hours. “The police then let us go and said that they will ask us to come back when required, they just want to harass us,” he says.
The reporter asks Khan if there was anyone else in the village who was named Anas. Khan replies that there as an even younger boy named Anas in the village, aged approximately 7 years.
The Hindu reported that another man from the village, Mohammad Hussain, has also corroborated Khan’s account of the police coming to the latter’s house.
A mob of some 400 people went on a rampage in Siana area of Bulandshahr district on Monday, December 3, apparently after right-wing activists were angered by the discovery of alleged cow carcasses strewn in a nearby jungle.
The mob set fire to dozens of vehicles, hurled stones and also fired guns at police who retaliated with gunfire. In the violence, Inspector Subodh Kumar Singh, the station house officer of Siana, and 20-year-old Sumit Kumar were killed.
Several right-wing men have reportedly been named in the FIR for the murder of Inspector Subodh Kumar Singh, including a Bharatiya Janata Party youth wing member, a Vishwa Hindu Parishad member and Bajrang Dal’s district head Yogesh Raj. Raj had reportedly filed an FIR for ‘cow-slaughter’ earlier in the day. He his now absconding.
