Uttar Pradesh: Madrassa Attacked on Pretext of Suspicion of Beef, Boundary Wall Destroyed
The attackers also tried to set fire to the madrassa.
A madrassa in Uttar Pradesh’s Fatehpura district was attacked on Tuesday, July 16 on the pretext that beef was suspected on the premises.
Per a PTI report, the incident took place in Behta village under Bindki police station area. The attackers pelted stones and brought down the boundary wall of the madrassa.
According to the district Superintendent of Police, Ramesh, the perpetrators also tried to set fire to the madrassa but failed. He reportedly added that no one was injured in the attack.
The Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) has been deployed at the village and efforts are being made to nab the culprits, police officials told PTI.
